As a Vice President, Eric Schachter is involved in nearly every facet of A.B. Data’s class action administration business. With over 22 years of experience, Eric’s wide-ranging responsibilities include developing and initiating high-level strategy for complex notice and settlement administrations and implementing and being active in day-to-day operational processes and procedures for the administration of complex cases. Eric is a recognized class action administration expert and is relied on to design and execute efficient, practical, and compliant administrative solutions.

Eric regularly speaks on panels and at industry functions in the class action administration space. He is a key member of the team that is active in implementing A.B. Data’s Digital PayPortal℠, a seamless and innovative tool to instantaneously distribute settlement payments to consumers through digital technologies. Eric has also provided expert testimony on notice and claims procedures in dozens of class actions.

Eric has directly worked on hundreds of class action cases, including such notable engagements as In re American International Group, Inc. Securities Litigation (over $1 billion in settlements); In re Countrywide Financial Corporation Securities Litigation ($624 million settlement); Kleen Products LLC, et al. v. International Paper (Containerboard) ($384 million settlement); Wyatt, et al. v. El Paso Corporation ($285 million settlement); In re Vizio Consumer Privacy Litigation (digital payments sent to 450,000+ claimants); In re Qualcomm Antitrust Litigation (notice to a class of over 200 million people); and LLE One, LLC, et al. v. Facebook, Inc. (digital payments sent to over 1 million class members).

Prior to joining A.B. Data, Eric was with another class action administration company where he designed and implemented notice and settlement methodologies. Prior to that, Eric practiced class action litigation at Labaton Sucharow LLP. Eric earned a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and a law degree from Hofstra University School of Law.
